Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tara,
Tara is in the Adoption Ambassador foster program. Foster families take animals into their homes and help them get adopted. This is what his/her foster family is saying about him/her:
Tara is a 3-year-old hound mix with the gentlest heart and the strongest spirit. The shelter believes she may have been shot in the leg before coming into care… but you’d never know it. It doesn’t stop her one bit! She’s still full of love, resilience, and quiet joy. She doesn’t ask for much! Just pets, affection, and a place where she finally belongs. Tara was separated from her twin, so she would truly thrive in a home with another dog. She loves being part of a pack and takes comfort in having a canine friend nearby. Tara is wonderfully go-with-the-flow. If it’s playtime, she’s happy doing her own thing. When it’s time to relax, she’s right there soaking up the calm, usually leaning in for pets.
- Very dog friendly & kid friendly - Crate trained & house trained - Sleeps through the night - Gentle, affectionate, submissive, and easygoing - Loves sunbathing!
She’s unsure about cats, but with a slow, patient introduction, we believe she’d do just fine. Tara is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart, the one who just wants to feel safe again after everything she’s been through. She deserves a patient, loving forever home where she can finally exhale.
