My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tinkerbell is a sweet but sensitive kitty, found as a 9-month female kitten in April 2025. She has come through hard times and looks forward to a loving, quiet, and patient home. She was picked up as a stray and spayed / vaccinated. She was originally very anxious when put in enclosed spaces. For a month after being taken in, she was fostered with a new family with a "safe zone" of with soft blankets and cat bed, and begun to trust and purr again, receiving regular affection, petting, and toys. She began venturing out and realizing she can be loved in a home again. In July, a new foster gave her a home with a full room, with toys, a cat tree, and now is regularly picked up and loved on. Now she is given access to the whole house for extended time, but returns to her "throne room" with cat tree, cat beds and toys. Regular visitors are received with eagerness and she will want to play and be petted by them.

She has been anxious around other cats (so no resident or visiting cats in this adoption), but is used to calm older or small dogs. She has learned to respond to guidance for "no", handling, and how to play gently. She has been successfully taken to and from the vet in a crate and now in a medium carrier, as trust has been built. She allows handling by vet staff as well as friends and family of the current foster who visit, even strangers.

Tinkerbell is deserving of an experienced and patient person knowledgeable of cats, with your tender loving care, and will reward you with the growing trust and love that she has again grown to show. No large or hyperactive dogs and no other cats at this time, please. She has been fully vaccinated, including FeLV and a 3-year Rabies vaccine, so no vet visits are needed in the near future.
