My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

0126010 - Meet Babe

Babe is a 1.5-year-old Goldendoodle with the gentlest soul and the softest eyes. She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t rush into the spotlight—but quietly steals your heart once she knows she’s safe.

At first, Babe can be shy with new people. She prefers to take things slow, observing the world from a cozy dog bed until she feels comfortable. But give her a little time (and a few treats!), and you’ll see her blossom. Once she trusts you, Babe truly enjoys being pet and will soak up gentle affection in her own calm, sweet way.

What Babe loves most? Other dogs. She gains confidence from her canine friends and would thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help show her the ropes. She’s quiet, well-mannered, and already house trained—an easy companion who fits seamlessly into daily life.

Babe does great walking on leash, enjoys playing with her squishy toys, and is happily treat-motivated, making continued bonding and training a positive experience. We’ve been told she does well with kids, though she would prefer a respectful, calm environment. She will chase cats, so a cat-free home is best.

Babe may not be the dog who runs up to greet you first—but she is the dog who will form a deep, meaningful bond with her person. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving companion and have the patience to let a shy heart feel safe, Babe just might be your perfect match.

More about this rescue

Sloppy Kisses Animal Rescue is a volunteer-based organization that was founded in 2018 by a group of animal advocates in Colorado. It was formed to rescue as many stray and homeless animals as possible by partnering with shelters in areas that are inundated with stray and relinquished animals. Sloppy Kisses Animal Rescue works to transport the animals to Colorado, fosters them in temporary homes, provides for their medical needs, brings them up to date on vaccinations, spay/neuters them if they aren’t already, and adopts them to permanent homes. This is accomplished through working with a network of volunteers, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, animal trainers, and donations!

We also work with our local community to provide assistance with re-homing pets and providing resources such as behavioral and medial to people who are considering surrendering their pet in an effort to keep pets in their homes and out of the shelter system.
