My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Journey!

This sweet girl truly lives up to her name—she’s been on quite the journey and is now ready for her happily-ever-after!

Journey is an absolute ball of love whose favorite thing in the world is attention. If you’re looking for a kitten who wants to be involved in everything you do, soak up cuddles, and shower you with affection, she’s your girl. She loves everyone and everything—people, cats, dogs… honestly, she’s not picky as long as there’s love to give and receive.

Journey came to FMAR with ongoing tummy troubles, and after lots of love and vet care, she was diagnosed with IBS. That just means she’ll need regular B12 injections for the rest of her life to help keep her tummy happy and her poop solid—but don’t worry, she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit! Journey is still a cheerful, affectionate girl who’s ready to share her love and follow you wherever life takes you.

If you’re looking for a social, loving cat with a big heart and a little extra care requirement, Journey may be the perfect match
She would thrive in a home where she can be doted on and adored. A feline friend to wrestle with would be amazing—but a dog pal works just as well. Journey is all about friendship, no matter the species.

If you’re ready to open your heart (and lap) to a kitten who will love you endlessly, Journey is ready to come home

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
