Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Norman, a true gentleman with a heart full of love 💙
Norman was found as a stray and had clearly been having a hard time—skinny, not feeling his best, and struggling with life on the streets. Thankfully, those days are behind him. After receiving the medical care, nourishment, and kindness he so desperately needed, Norman is absolutely flourishing and ready for the next chapter of his life: a forever home.
This older fellow is as sweet as they come. Norman loves people and isn’t shy about asking for attention—he’ll softly meow at you to make sure you notice him. His perfect day includes a comfy lap, a cushy bed, and a warm sunbeam where he can curl up and relax. He has so much love to give and truly shines when he’s being spoiled.
Norman is a gentle, loving soul who has been through a lot and now just wants what he’s always deserved: care, comfort, and someone to love him unconditionally. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and a cozy snuggle buddy, Norman may be your perfect match. 🐾

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
