Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Mini Muffin 💛
Mini Muffin is a sweet, gentle soul who has been through more than any cat should ever endure. She was rescued from one of the most severe neglect cases our team has seen in recent years, where 33 animals were found living in filth, darkness, and extreme confinement. Mini Muffin, like the others, arrived at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton in desperate need of care, and our medical team immediately began lifesaving treatment. Though she is FeLV+, she is still deserving of love, comfort, and a safe home where she can thrive.
Right now, Mini Muffin is still a little unsure of her new surroundings. She doesn’t fully trust the hands that are caring for her, and she may take time to come out of her shell. But our patient and gentle animal care staff are working with her every day, helping her learn that people can be kind, safe, and loving. With time, patience, and lots of gentle encouragement, Mini Muffin has the potential to gain confidence and discover just how wonderful life can be outside of fear and neglect.
This little girl may need a patient adopter who understands her history, but she has a heart full of love waiting to be shared. Mini Muffin deserves a home where she can feel safe, cared for, and cherished for the rest of her life.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
