Doss has been a great dog in our house and having to rehome him was a difficult decision for me and my family to come to. When he is alone, Doss is the sweetest most affectionate dog. The problem is, he is a cattle dog and acts as such. This does not go over well with our alpha German Shepard and they battle for the alpha spot, particularly when I am out of town for a couple days.
We rescued Doss when he was a few months old and have had him for 5 years. He has two sisters, one is the forementioned shepard and the other is our one year old pitbull. He is a very good listener, easy to train and very smart. He is not food aggressive and is a free eater. He also gets along with our two barn cats. We've taken Doss camping with no other dogs and he was fantastic.
It's important to note that Doss has NEVER been aggressive towards humans and has been around a lot of children.
He is named after Desmond Doss, after the WWII Medal of Honor recipient.
