My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ENGLISH WILL FOLLOW

Have you ever wanted a multifunctional cat? Well look no further, Toffee has got you covered! She makes for a fashionable scarf, a nifty hand warmer, as well as an efficient dust collector. Owing her name to her extreme clinginess, you WILL struggle to get her off of you and she will love every second of it! On the rare occasions when she is not velcroed to a human, she enjoys drinking water straight from the faucet (or licking the faucet until somebody turns it on), napping in warm spots or boxes, and exploring any and every space she is physically capable of squeezing into and collecting all the dust in the process, not that it bothers her.
Toffee wants nothing more than to be allowed to love her human(s). She loves being held and cuddled and being spoken to like the adorable baby that she is.
Note: Toffee takes to people extremely quickly, but can be quite standoffish with other cats and needs proper time to adapt.

More about this shelter

Founded in Montreal in 1869, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (now known simply as the Montreal SPCA) was the first animal-welfare organization in Canada. It is not known under whose influence the society was formed, but its history acknowledges assistance from animal-welfare societies in France, England and the United States. In its early years, the SPCA concentrated primarily on improving the treatment of work horses, which were used all across the island of Montreal. The SPCA later began working on additional issues, such as humane dog control, cock-fighting and the killing of wild birds. The SPCA has come a long way since its beginnings: today, it is the largest animal-protection organization in Quebec, speaking on behalf of animals wherever there is ignorance, cruelty, exploitation or neglect.
