My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piglet is a sweet, goofy girl bursting with personality. She loves people, enjoys both playtime and snuggles, and never misses a chance to make you smile. Piglet is the kind of dog who brings joy wherever she goes and is happiest when she’s part of the action with her humans.

If you have another canine friend at home, meet-and-greets are always required, though Piglet does seem to appreciate the company of other dogs. If you have a cat, just let us know, we’re happy to make sure Piglet does well with them prior to leaving. Piglet is ready to be a fun, loving addition to a lucky family.

Our dog adoption fee is $150 and includes their spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations and preventatives. You can find our adoption questionnaire at agcshelter.org/adopt-1 or stop by Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-4pm to meet all of our adoptables.

Submit Application

We have a short questionnaire that can be filled out before or during the meet and greet. We do not use the questionnaire to "approve".

Interview

We utilize conversational adoption. This may happen during the meet and greet or via phone before a meet and greet.

Our cat adoption fee is $110, $150 if you adopt a pair, and our dog adoption fee is $150.

You can bring your own carrier or we can provide a cardboard carrier for an additional $5.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is meant to reduce barriers to adoption. We have a simple questionnaire that does not determine if the adopter is "approved" or "denied" and then we have a conversation about their lifestyle, home environment, and what they are looking for in a pet.

Go meet their pets

Come meet our cats and dogs Tuesday through Friday from 1pm to 4pm in our open-concept adoption space! Here, you can sit and spend time with our kitties in a relaxed environment to get to know each personality. We have a meet and greet room for our doggies, so you can spend time with them in a larger space or walk with them outside!
