If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Stag has been an inside/outside cat, because he is wily and I live with roommates who are less stern and watchful about these things than I am so he basically does what he likes. It's an issue. But we have two other cats and two dogs and he gets along with them fine, and he's never bitten or scratched anyone. He's a good cat.
He has a charming little personality, with a habit of following me to the CVS next to my house and waiting for me in the corner of the lot, and I've seen him many times on our retaining wall soliciting for scritches and pets from strangers on the sidewalk.
I'm moving to NY in May and I think he'd be much happier in a home that better suited his needs. I don't think there will be room for him in the new place (it's a very small apartment and he wouldn't be going outside, which would drive him crazy), and I can't/won't leave him with my current roommates because it wouldnt'd be good for him and I don't think they'd go for it anyway.
