My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lola 🖤

Lola is a stunning black, medium-haired beauty with the fluffiest coat and an absolutely irresistible face. Born in a loading dock in Romulus alongside her six siblings, Lola’s life changed just hours after birth when her devoted mom, Diana, and the entire little family were rescued and brought safely indoors.

Since then, Lola has grown up surrounded by love and security, and it shows. She’s playful, a little silly, and incredibly affectionate — the kind of girl who brings both fun and warmth wherever she goes. Her fluffy looks may grab your attention first, but it’s her sweet, loving personality that truly steals hearts.

Lola thrives with feline companionship and would love to be adopted with one of her siblings. If that’s not possible, a home with a young, friendly, playful cat is a must for her happiness and confidence.

If you’re looking for a gorgeous, affectionate kitty with a playful spirit and a big heart, Lola is ready to be your new best friend.

Lola is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

Additional adoption info

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
