I’m a young patch tabby girl under a year old with some pretty adorable markings (I get told that a lot). I’m on the shy side, so I’m looking for a calm, patient home where I can take my time getting comfortable and learning that the world is a safe place.
New situations make me pause and observe before I jump in — but once I settle in, it’s pure gold. I’m all love and tenderness, with a playful streak that comes out when I’m feeling secure. I adore my siblings and feel my best when I have another friendly, young kitty by my side.
Because of my gentle nature, I wouldn’t be happy in a busy household or one with very young children. I’d much rather live somewhere peaceful, where my people understand that trust takes time and patience is part of the love.
If you’re willing to move at my pace and give me the space to bloom, I promise a sweet, devoted companion who will reward you with quiet affection, playful moments, and a heart full of love. I’d be thrilled to go home with one of my siblings — or join a home that already has a kind, playful kitty waiting for me.
Kit Kat is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
