Just like her namesake, Snickers is the perfect mix of sweet with a little bit of substance. She’s a female tuxedo under a year old and an all-around lovely girl who brings comfort, playfulness, and quiet affection wherever she goes.
Snickers loves other cats and truly thrives with feline companionship. You’ll often find her playing, cuddling, or curled up with her siblings, and for that reason, a home with another friendly, playful kitty is a must for her happiness. She would also likely do well with a mellow, cat-savvy dog who knows how to give her space, following proper introductions.
Like many young cats, Snickers may need a little time to adjust to new situations — totally normal and completely expected. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through. She enjoys being near her people, sharing gentle snuggles, and joining in on playtime at her own comfortable pace.
Snickers is a soft-hearted, affectionate girl who will do best in a patient, loving home where she can settle in and be her wonderful self. If you’re looking for a sweet treat of a cat who comes with built-in friendship requirements, Snickers might be the perfect fit.
Snickers is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
