My story began when my mom brought my siblings and me to a safe front patio when we were about three weeks old. The humans there had already been taking care of her for a long time, so she knew exactly where to go. Not long after, we started getting yummy kitten purée, and once we realized how kind people were, we got very comfortable — so comfortable that we started sneaking into the house whenever the door opened.
The funny thing is, the door stayed open so we could leave if we wanted… but none of us ever did. We decided we were home, and that’s how we became fosters.
I grew up surrounded by my siblings, learning how to play, explore, and just be a happy kitten. We all get along great with each other, and I’m very curious about the adult cats in the house — I like to watch them and imagine being just as cool and confident one day.
I’m a gentle, sweet girl who enjoys companionship and feeling safe. I’d love a home where I can keep growing, playing, and sharing my quiet affection — especially one with another friendly cat, maybe even one of my siblings.
If you’re looking for a loving kitten with a soft heart and a cozy indoor origin story, I might be your Spumoni!
Spumoni is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.
Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.

AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
