My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💖 Meet Cassian! 💖

Cassian is a 3.5 month white-and-tabby boy who's basically a little ball of sweetness wrapped in fur! 🐾 He LOVES to cuddle-seriously, he could win an award for snuggles-and his gentle, loving nature will melt your heart in seconds.

When he's not curled up in your arms purring like a tiny motor, Cassian enjoys exploring his world with curiosity and charm. He's playful, affectionate, and ready to be your new best friend!

Cassian and his siblings had a light case of Upper Respiratory Illness, causing sneezing and runny eyes. He has since been treated and is on the mend!

Let's get this adorable man the forever home he deserves! ♥

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
