My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger is a precious little girl who came into rescue after having been living a particularly hard life after her human mom died. Despite all of what she has gone through she is still a very sweet, spunky, loving and happy gal who warms up quickly once she trusts you. Ginger will fall into your arms and gaze lovingly into your eyes as if you are her entire world. She loves to sleep under the covers next to her human. She bonds to her person once she trusts and then wants to be with them always.

Ginger would do best in a home with someone who is retired, works from home or doesn’t spend a lot of time away from the home. Ginger is completely housebroken and will use a dog door. She travels wonderfully in the truck and gets along very well with the 6 dogs in her foster home (big & small). She seems to prefer male dogs over females. She has shown some interest in playing but the foster's dogs aren’t too receptive. At times she’s a little bossy due to wanting her foster mom to herself but is easily corrected. She would more likely do well in a home with another confident, playful dog but it is not a requirement. Ginger’s foster mom has generously offered to dog sit Ginger if her adopter(s) goes away and she does not have a safe place to go or has to be boarded.

Ginger's $275 adoption fee includes a microchip, vaccinations, spay surgery and full dental care. If you would like to set up a Meet & Greet and be considered for adoption, please click on the button with the pet’s name to fill out an application. Someone will contact you within 24 hours.

If you have difficulty with the application, please email us at Rescue@AnthemPets.org.
