If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
He is an exceptionally loyal, loving companion who bonds closely with his people. Smart and eager to please, he knows his basic commands and has excellent house manners. He does not chew and is respectful in the home. He is in great health, up-to-date on all vaccines, and professionally groomed regularly (records available). He loves fetch, toys, walks, swimming, and is active when engaged, but settles well in calm environments. With adults and visitors, including strangers, he is friendly and accepting.
He would do best in a home without small children, as he struggles with patience and trust around little humans. This is the primary reason for our rehoming decision. He can be anxious and may bark when he has visual access to outside activity. He gets along well with most dogs and regularly interacts positively with both small and large breeds, though rare territorial incidents have occurred, so thoughtful introductions are important.
