My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Everyone,

Meet Gus, a magnificent 5-month-old long-haired male, orange tabby-Maine Coon mix kitten who resembles a little lion with a fur coat like a Maine Coon! This striking boy is the perfect match for someone who appreciates a cat with a strong personality and a regal sense of independence. Gus is a total "play-hard, snuggle-hard" kind of guy; he is obsessed with his toys and will never turn down a good play session or a satisfying scratching session behind the ears. While he isn’t a fan of being picked up and held a lot, he is incredibly affectionate on his own terms, happily curling up by your side for cuddles when he’s ready for some downtime. He’s a smart, communicative kitten who values his personal space but will be the first to seek out your attention when he’s in the mood for love. If you’re looking for a sweet, stunning companion who knows his own mind and promises to keep you entertained with his playful antics, Gus is your king.

So if you feel like you can be that caring and loving purrent, please reach out to Dirty Little Paws Rescue at Dirtylittlepaws@gmail.com or fill out my adoption questionnaire. I can hardly wait to be part of your life.

Dirty Little Paws is a non-profit rescue in Southern California. We rescue from kill shelters and from the street, manage feral colonies, and promote TNR (trap, neuter, release). We need your help! Please adopt a pet from a Rescue. If you can't adopt, please foster. If you can't foster, please donate.

At Dirty Little Paws our mission is to save the lives of as many cats as possible. We respond to daily emergencies, fully vet each cat, release ferals back into their colonies, rehabilitate some, make sick cats well, hold adoption fairs, educate the public, and place a strong emphasis on sourcing donations through events & fundraisers so that this work may continue.

Additional adoption info

Our pet adoption process is fairly straightforward as outlined above. Basically, our potential adopters can contact us regarding pets they may be interested in, or can meet our pets, we will discuss the pet they're interested in, have them fill out an adoption application and ask some questions around that. If we feel the pet is a fit for the adopter we will then have them complete an adoption agreement perform a home check and collect the adoption fee. We will then deliver the brand new pet to their Happy Forever Home!
