This helps Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue with pet care costs.
Dexter is a sweet, affectionate little guy who loves being close to his people. He’s a true cuddle bug who enjoys being held, snuggling on your chest, and following you around like a little shadow—often curling up at your feet while you work. He is a complete teddy bear with the sweetest eyes.
He has a great low/medium-energy balance: happy to run around and play with his toys (he even tosses and catches them himself!) but just as content to relax and snuggle.
Dexter is still learning and would benefit from a patient home. He’s not a huge fan of the crate but sleeping through the night on his own. Slow, thoughtful introductions with other dogs are important, as he can be fearful of unfamiliar dogs. At home, he’s been doing well with another dog and even enjoys cuddling up against his dog buddy.
Dexter is making great progress with potty training and is healing from a recent neuter.
Overall, Dexter is a lovable little teddy bear and devoted companion who will thrive in a home that offers patience, guidance, and lots of affection. He will be an incredibly loyal best friend
Dexter is doing great with my dog. He does show some possessiveness over me if my dog approaches him while he is on the couch with me already. I have tried to slowly introduce him to people and other dogs and he had a very tough time (mostly with the other dog and potentially not a fan of men), he seems fearful. My dog and him play together so I think he will be okay in a home with other dogs but may need some time to adjust.
