Dorothy may not be from Kansas… but she’s absolutely been through her own little twister.
A couple of years ago, this sweet bobtail girl was dumped outside by her former owners. When she was finally trapped for TNR, her story came to light — and our hearts melted faster than butter on a hot biscuit.
Dorothy was far too loving and people-oriented to be returned outdoors. So we brought her into rescue and made her a promise: she would never be tossed aside again. Ever.
Now at 2 years old, Dorothy proudly rocks her adorable little bobtail like a fashion statement. She also has a small healing scab on her nose (from rubbing it in the trap — it’s healing beautifully and honestly just adds to her charm).
Dorothy is a professional lap cat, a certified cuddle expert, and an all-around sweetheart who truly loves being the main character. If you sit down, she will find you. If you open a blanket, she will claim it. If you need comfort… she is already on the way.
She would thrive as your one and only feline queen, soaking up all the love and attention she missed out on before rescue. She can tolerate polite, respectful dogs who understand boundaries (no surprise nose-boops, please — Dorothy’s personal space is sacred).
