My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Goose!

I may have had a tough start, but I’m a little miracle kitty. I was born with a condition called Pectus Excavatum, which caused my chest to cave in. Thanks to the amazing Orphaned Kitten Club and Dr. Wallach at Oaks Veterinary Urgent Care, I had surgery and am now a healthy, happy, totally normal cat! I do have slightly bowed front legs from my procedure, but my foster mom says they just make me extra adorable.

I’m a sweet cuddle bug who loves to sleep all night right next to your face. I’m a bit shy at first, but I’m getting braver every day now that I’m settled back into foster life.

I enjoy playing, exploring the cat tree, and showing affection—especially by licking my foster mom’s nose (even if she claims my tongue is a little too tough – it’s called exfoliation, mum!).

I’m a mellow boy and very respectful of the other cats in my home, making me a great companion for a calm, loving household.

If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate kitty with a big heart and a special story, I just might be your Goose.

More about this rescue

Founded in 2016, The Little Lion Foundation is an all volunteer based team dedicated to saving the lives of orphaned kittens in need and finding each and every one the home they deserve. We specialize in the neonatal kittens as well as trauma cases and special needs kittens. We pride ourselves in saving the ones left discarded... from blind to physically special, we believe every kitty is worth fighting for.

We provide each kitten with vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, microchip, FIV/FELV test, dewormed, regular flea treatment, and any other medical needs our Little Lions may require and we will stop at nothing to save that precious soul.

We are based in Long Beach, Ca and currently inhabit 3 adoption centers thru PetSmart in Cerritos, Huntington Beach, and Garden Grove. We hold weekly adoption events at either PetSmart locations as well as Pet Food Express in Long Beach.

We are a 501c3 non profit organization and 100% of donations received go directly toward the care of our kitties. We rely solely on the generosity of our supporters to keep our mission going.
