My name is Merlot!

History: We recently helped a situation in Northern MN of two “sets” of husky mix families needing a second chance. They were at risk of being destroyed and rescue was needed urgently. They are extremely sweet kiddos who are each hoping to find forever homes of their own soon!

A Note from the Foster: Merlot is a wonderful family dog. She loves to be with her pack of people. She will go from room to room to make sure everyone is accounted for . She really enjoys snuggling at your feet. She enjoys walks and watching the nature around her. She has had no accidents in the house and will nudge you or the door when she needs to go out. She walks well with a harness but is a strong dog. Merlot loves treats and will be easy to work with on training . She is very good in the home . She does not counter surf or get into trouble. She is absolutely wonderful and sweet with my 8 and 5 yr old. She loves to play fetch with any of her toys and has resisted the urge to play with the kids toys. Merlot would benefit finding a home that understands the breed. She loves to use her voice to call out for her pack when not around. She also has a tendency to flop when you try to get her to do things she just is not interested in. We have been using patience and treats to motivate her. She will go in an crate and sleeps in one at night but also is completely fine if left out during the day. Please consider this beautiful creature to give you love, laughs and strength in your home.
