If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Bjorn is a handsome, neutered Rottweiler, estimated by our vet to be around 2 years old. He was found wandering in Las Vegas, and after no one claimed him, he came to live with us.
Bjorn is a friendly, mellow, and social dog. He lives well with two dogs and three cats, and he regularly interacts with two small dogs and two young children (ages 4 and 6). He is not aggressive, not food possessive, and does well meeting new people. He is house-trained, knows basic manners like sitting and waiting for meals, and walks nicely on a leash (may briefly pull to sniff).
He enjoys outdoor play and occasional zoomies, but is generally calm indoors. He does not like being crated and has been sleeping loose in the house without issue.
Bjorn has a strong prey drive toward chickens, which is why he needs to be rehomed. He would do best in a home without poultry or small livestock. His recall will benefit from continued training.
Bjorn is a good dog who deserves a home that fits his needs.
