My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Chase is an 18 pound, 2-3 year old rat terrier/ Chihuahua mix who loves to be around people. Great with kids. He is bubbly and playful and a bit of a velcro dog. He is housebroken and has good home manners. We are not so sure how he will do with other animals.

Chase is in our direct from owner program, which means that Chesed Rescue will accept applications, background and vet check them, and then the current guardian will do meetings and decide who should adopt Chase directly from her. No fees for adoption (though donations to Chesed Rescue are always appreciated), but adopter will be required to have Chase neutered and brought up to date on vaccines.

Adoption fees range from $75.00 to $400 for a fixed, blood-tested, vaccinated cat/kitten, and $200-$700 for a dog. This includes all age appropriate medical care and microchipping.

More about this rescue

Chesed Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted animals. “Chesed” is often translated as “loving kindness”. Acts qualify as “chesed” when they are motivated by a spirit of generosity, not obligation.

Chesed is a small rescue, where we get to know each animal as an individual. Our placements focus on not just finding excellent homes, but excellent homes that are the right fit for each pet. Our adoption criteria is strict. We work hard to get these pets to safety, we donate many hours to their care, and will not settle for anything less that a great home for their future.

In addition to our adoption and education programs, we manage the Kobi center, which provides those less fortunate or those on a fixed income with necessary pet supplies, food and medications.
