Carolina is a gentle hound mix with a calm, mellow nature and a heart that truly shines around people. She’s very friendly and enjoys human companionship, greeting everyone she meets with quiet sweetness and an easygoing charm.
True to her hound roots, Carolina loves to sniff and take her time exploring the world through her nose. She’s a good walker who enjoys peaceful strolls where she can investigate all the interesting scents along the way. At home, she’s housebroken and settles in nicely, making her an easy addition to a relaxed household.
Carolina prefers to be the only dog, with one special exception, the dog she came in with, Virginia. Carolina and Virginia are not a bonded pair and can be adopted together or separately. She would do best in a home where she can enjoy calm surroundings and plenty of one-on-one attention.
When it’s time to play or unwind, she loves plush toys and balls, and she’ll never say no to a tasty peanut butter treat. Carolina is a wonderful choice for someone seeking a loyal, low-key companion who enjoys life at a slower pace, peaceful walks, cozy moments, and plenty of love from her people.

Adoption fees range from $56-$86. This includes vaccines, flea/tick protection, health exam at local veterinary clinic, collar,leash, 50% discount on spay/neuter. Altering is done at the time of adoption, prior to the pet going home.
There is an application for adoption, a 24 hour hold and an adoption contract.

We are located in Williamsburg, VA. Our adoption center is open 6 days a week from 12 noon - 4:30 pm, and we are closed on Mondays for deep clean.
