If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Sweet little 11yo, 8lb Leaf was rescued from a high-kill shelter to give her more time to find a happy, forever home. Her previous humans moved away + couldn't take her, so they left her at the shelter. She was terrified there.
Currently she is cared for in a small home, decompressing from the shelter, getting more comfortable + feeling safer day by day. She readily purrs and likes to circle, rubbing her face against you. Sometimes when over-stimulated she can get a little hissy, as to be expected from her scary shelter experience.
She eats both dry + wet food, likes to lick it from your finger! And uses her litter box perfectly.
She recently had a vet check up and is all healthy.
She now needs more space to stretch out and feel at home. I have another cat already and they are separated because they're not getting along at all. So, it's very unfair on Leaf as she has to be separated in a small space.
She really needs + deserves a larger home with patient, older humans - no children.
