Our sweet Leia came to us from a tiny dorm room in Southern California. She was small enough to fit in our hand and settled right into our family. We think she was born in December of 2017 so we think she is close to 8 years old.
In the last few years we started to grow our family and have noticed that our dog has really changed with the addition of our two children in the home. She hides under beds, chomps her teeth, and nips at them if they get close to her. We have tried multiple things to try and help her acclimate to our home with kids but we are seeing that she needs to be with a family with older children (not under 7) or an adult home. She has also had a few new health challenges arise snd we cannot give her the care she needs in our current home.
She is the most loving dog we have ever met. Shes a cuddle bug, a true companion, a tug of war champion, and we are heartbroken to have to rehome her but it is what is best for her and our family.
