My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hamilton is a sweet, soulful boy who is deeply devoted to people and truly wants to be part of a family. Humans are his favorite thing in the world, and he loves with his whole heart.

He needs to be an only dog and is a firm no on cats. No negotiations, no loopholes, no “maybe if the cat is chill.” Also worth noting: if a raccoon wanders into the yard, Hamilton will absolutely consider that an invitation to wrestle. He’s confident like that.

That said, he has lived peacefully with a female dog before, so with the right situation and guidance, there may be some flexibility. But his ideal setup is being your one-and-only.

Hamilton is pretty well trained, which makes him easy to live with, and he’s happiest when he’s included, loved, and treated like family. He’s the kind of dog who looks at you like he understands your soul… and maybe a few of your secrets too.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and strong opinions about cats and raccoons, Hamilton might be your guy. 🐾

More about this rescue

We are veterans who came together because of dog rescue. We have similar views and respect for ideals. It is always about the dog with us. We want to make sure that the dog is a good fit for the home that is adopting them. Our dogs have not always had the best life and we believe they all deserve the best life can offer.
