Jack is a sweet little cuddle bug who bonds very deeply with his person. He is approximately one year old and weighs just 17 lbs. Jack forms a strong attachment to one person and clearly prefers women, so he must be in a female-only home where he can feel safe and secure. He would do best as an only person’s companion in a calm, adult household with no children.
Once Jack trusts you, he is incredibly loving and devoted, always ready to curl up close. Because he only has one eye, it can take him a little time to warm up to new people, and he can become frightened when kids run up to him, which is why a quiet, child-free home is essential.
Jack does wonderfully with his foster’s other dog, but he is not good with cats. He would be perfectly happy in an apartment as long as it’s a peaceful environment without lots of people coming and going—he will bark when strangers enter. Jack loves squeaky and soft toys, is fine being left alone either in or out of a crate, and settles well.
He can be a bit of an escape artist, so a secure home (and no little ones who might open doors) is important. For the right woman, Jack will be a loyal, affectionate companion who gives endless love. Bcaaofnj.org
