My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Norm, the tiny void with a huge personality!

If you’re looking for a companion who is equal parts "explorer" and "professional snuggler," Norm is your guy. This sleek, pitch-black kitten is proof that the best things come in small, fuzzy packages.

Why You’ll Fall for Norm:
The Ultimate Cuddle Bug: Norm doesn’t just sit near you; he wants to be with you. Whether he’s purring against your neck or curled up in your lap, his mission is to make sure you know you’re loved.

The Bold Adventurer: Don’t let his sweet side fool you—Norm is fearless. He loves to investigate every nook and cranny of his environment, making him a constant source of entertainment.

Playtime Pro: From chasing feather wands to practicing his "mighty hunter" pounce on crinkle balls, Norm’s playful energy is infectious. He’s the perfect mood-booster after a long day.

Social & Sweet: Norm is a "people cat" through and through. He’s fun to have around and adapts quickly to new situations with a curious twitch of his whiskers.

Fun Fact: Norm is currently mastering the art of the "stealth pounce," though he usually gives himself away by purring too loudly before he strikes!

Is Norm the missing piece to your family? He’s ready to find a forever home where he can play hard and nap harder. He would likely do well in a home with other pets or respectful children who can keep up with his zest for life.

More about this rescue

Halfway Home Rescue was founded in 2012. We strive to find the best forever placement, so all our adoptions require application approval, a meet and greet, adoption fee, a contract and dogs require home checks. While in our care, the animals at HHR are examined by a veterinarian and given socialization and proper medical attention. HHR’s few members and fosters are unpaid volunteers, our source of funding is based 100% on donations from the public of funds and supplies - donations are tax deductible.

We try and find foster homes for our rescues; we encourage you to contact us if you are interested in fostering for us or making a lifelong commitment as an adopter. While our primary focus has been on cats because of the tremendous overpopulation problem in this area , We help all kinds of animals when fosters and donations permit.

We feel very strongly about educating the public to the companion animal overpopulation issue, we are involved in local TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) and we hope to provide solutions so that the large amount of adoptable animals killed in shelters each year around the country can be stopped. We have a Spay to Save Program in place to assist community members who may otherwise not be able to afford it , Spay and Neuter their pets.
