Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Smokey who just got lucky!
Smokey was surrendered to a shelter in NYC. His family had housing issues and could no longer keep him. Poor Smokey was so frightened at the scary shelter, that he appeared to a naughty boy. CARE knew they had to help Smokey and he is now happy to be in a foster home living the good life.
Smokey is good with the other dogs in the house and is very respectful. He is super quiet and has yet to bark. He is initially timid, but quickly warms up and doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He gets excited when the leash comes out and is a wonderful walking companion, not pulling or weaving. Smokey was not neutered when he arrived, thus had the habit of marking. He knows how to do his business outside and obediently runs outside to the fenced yard and comes back without issue. The foster mom is working with him since his neutering and he is greatly improving his housetraining skills.
Smokey is not crazy about the crate, but will tolerate it if necessary. He sleeps on the bed and is good all night. He would like nothing better than someone who wants a lover boy who will shower you with love and affection. Make Smokey your Valentine!
