My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Emerald — A Shy Sweetheart Who Shines with Kitty Friends

Emerald is a shy but sweet, playful kitty looking for a quiet, indoor-only home where she can feel safe, supported, and move at her own pace. While she doesn’t need to be adopted with another specific cat, having other friendly, social cats in the home is a MUST—Emerald truly blossoms with feline companionship and gains confidence from her kitty friends.

She does well with respectful teens who understand patience and gentle interactions. Her experience with dogs is unknown, so a calm, dog-free home (or extremely slow, careful introductions) would be best for her comfort. With time, patience, and the right environment, Emerald’s gentle personality sparkles brighter every day.

Emerald’s Comfort Checklist:
Plenty of comfy hiding spots and cozy nap zones
Cat trees & scratching posts for climbing and confidence-building
Window perches for peaceful bird-watching
TONS of toys, especially interactive toys and catnip

Favorite Things:
Treats, wet food, catnip, gentle playtime, and relaxing near her kitty friends

If your home has friendly resident cats and room for a shy gem to shine, Emerald may be the perfect addition to your family.

Behavior and personality assessment is based on information provided by previous owner(s) and/or observations in a shelter environment and may not accurately reflect the pet`s behavior in your home.
