I've been in the shelter longer than most and my adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me.
I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable with new people. But once I get to know them, I'm very loving.
If there are kids in my new home, I prefer them to be older than 8 and would like to meet them before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more.
If there are any dogs living in my new home, I prefer to meet them before I'm adopted. Energetic young dogs aren't my speed, but I might be fine with a fellow distinguished canine friend in my home.
