Tootsie Roll is a charming female rabbit with a personality as delightful as her name. She can be quite sweet and curious once she feels comfortable, but she also values her independence and likes having her own space. Tootsie Roll does best with someone who understands rabbit body language and respects her boundaries, as she will let you know when she’s had enough attention. She enjoys a calm environment where she can relax, explore, and show off her unique personality at her own pace. While she may not always seek constant cuddles, watching her feel safe and confident is incredibly rewarding, and her quieter moments of affection mean all the more. For first-time rabbit owners, it’s important to know that rabbits require more care than many people expect. They need hay, fresh vegetables, clean water, and plenty of room to move around. Rabbits are intelligent animals who need daily interaction, mental stimulation, and proper bunny-proofing to keep them safe. If you are thinking about adopting a rabbit, please take the time to research their needs thoroughly before making a commitment. Rabbits can live for many years and require specialized veterinary care and daily attention. Understanding their behavior, diet, and housing needs is essential to giving a rabbit like Tootsie Roll a happy, healthy life.
If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.
My adoption fee is $25
