My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A Gentle Soul Learning What Full Feels Like

Turkey Meatball is a brown-and-white, medium mixed-breed boy who looks like he’s been carrying a lot on his heart. He appears to be about 6 years old and is very skinny, suggesting that for a long time he may not have known when his next meal was coming. He was abandoned, and his story is still unfolding with us, but even in these early days, his sweetness shines through.

Despite everything he’s been through, Turkey Meatball remains gentle and kind. He looks like a dog who wants to trust and is hopeful that better days are ahead. He seems to know how to sit and does so in his own endearing way, with his legs spread wide, adding a small moment of charm to an otherwise sad chapter of his life.

Turkey Meatball looks like a dog who is understandably hungry, both for food and for care, patience, and reassurance. He is very new to us, and we’re still learning who he is, but so far he appears to be a soft-hearted boy who didn’t give up on people, even when people gave up on him.

He’s ready for a calmer, kinder chapter with someone who can offer consistency, compassion, and the comfort of never wondering where his next meal will come from again.
