My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Found in a dirt lot. Now looking for their furever homes.
Meet Ace, Gage, Izzy, Macy, and Nellie — five sweet, playful Retriever/Shepherd mix pups who didn’t get the easiest start, but are making up for it with wagging tails and big puppy hearts.
At just 10–12 lbs and born 11/21/25, these babies are ready for couches, cuddles, and a lifetime of love.
Think one belongs with you? Come meet them.
?? All of our dogs/puppies are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm/Chagas-negative, and on Simparica Trio when they are adopted.
??? Visit us: Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday
? Time: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
?? Email: BAHShelter@yahoo.com for more info!

More about this shelter

The Bulverde Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Founded in 1983 by Dolores Caldwell, BAHS is a no-kill shelter caring for up to 400 dogs and cats annually. The shelter resides on 3.25 acres of park-like land and houses indoor/outdoor kennels, a cattery, nursery/medical recovery building, agility fields, and fenced-in play yards.

BAHS is powered by volunteers and overseen by a Board of Directors. Our volunteers ensure the dogs and cats get plenty of exercise, playtime, and unlimited cuddles, love, and affection.
