Ryan is an adorable, enthusiastic, scruffy little pup that was found as a stray in California. We were happy to transfer him to our adoption program for a better chance at finding a wonderful home.
- Approximately 6 months old and 26 pounds
- We are not sure of his breed mix but guessed Poodle/German Shepherd. He has a scruffy, wire fur coat and likely will mature to around 45-50 pounds but we cannot guarantee size at maturity.
- Energetic, outgoing, joyful pup who is social and happy to meet all the humans
- Loves other dogs and enjoys playing with them
- Fostered with kids ages 6+ and does well with them
- We have not seen Ryan with cats but imagine that he is likely cat friendly, especially since he is so young.
- Doing well with crate training and sleeps in the crate at night
- Potty training is still a work in progress as he has only been in foster in a home since 1/31/26.
- Doing well learning to walk on leash and basic manners
Ryan has been vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and is current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes his neutered between now and 1 year of age at our partner veterinary clinic in SW Portland or Milwaukie. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland.

All of our dogs are in foster homes that help them to learn to be good house guests. Our foster dogs thrive in a home environment rather than a scary shelter where they would become stressed. Plus we gain lots of good information about the dog's personalities in a foster home setting.
All foster homes are located within 45 minutes of Portland, Oregon. Once we receive your adoption application and chat with you, we will provide you the foster home's contact information that has the dog you're interested in meeting.
