My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woof! I’m Jellybean, a 11 yo, 14lb Havanese mix boy. I ended up at a local shelter after 10 years with my previous family… not sure why, but the nice ladies here at FCCR scooped me right up and said they would find me a wonderful new home for my golden years! My age may be senior but I’ve got the energy of a dog half my age!

Here’s the scoop on this good boy: I’m what the humans call “nearly perfect” (I don’t like to brag, but they’re not wrong). I LOVE other dogs and LOVE playing in the yard with them. A playmate in my forever home would be pawsome!

I have excellent house manners (I’m housebroke) and an absolute dream in the car – road trip, anyone? I’m great with humans of all sizes, including tiny humans (kids!). Cats? Never officially met one, but I’d probably just ignore them – I’m too busy being adorable.

When I’m not zooming around outside, you’ll find me snuggling on my favorite dog bed. Speaking of beds, that’s where I sleep at night like the gentleman I am.

Oh, and did I mention I’m in great health? This senior’s got plenty of good years ahead!

More about this rescue

Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue (FCCR) is a non-profit organization located in SW Florida. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cocker Spaniels throughout the state of Florida and neighboring states. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers to help us take care of our dogs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies, heartworm tested, flea and heartworm treatment, and microchip.

FCCR carefully screens all of our potential furever and foster homes to ensure that our pups will have safe and loving homes. Some of our dogs come from shelters and abusive situations and we want to make sure that they will only see love the rest of their lives.
