Archer is a Maltese/Shih Tzu puppy. He can be shy at first, but opens up very quickly. He loves to greet you and get pets or tummy rubs. He can be vocal with his barks to get your attention, but won’t drive you crazy with constant barking. He loves to play with others and can also entertain himself. He loves to nap and can snuggle in your arms or lap anytime. He sleeps through the night and can sleep through the day. He loves to sleep on his bed and also the floor, sometimes he will sleep half on the bed and half on the floor. Archer is great with using the potty pads. If you let him out, he may have an occasional accident, but he is getting better with potty training every day.
He is happy when you are restocking his water and food bowl and will start drinking and eating as you are pouring into his bowls. He is okay sharing the same bowl with another pup and can use his own bowls as well. He is okay and does not mind when you are petting and giving encouragement when he eats and drinks. He is good with other dogs and with children. He is well behaved in the car He is a super chill pup who can play and relax with you. He will do great in almost any environment.
----- A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters: Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means: ✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment. ✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing). ✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed. The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like. Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are. Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.
