Meet Nile! Nile is a tan, playful, and cuddly pup, born around September 17, 2025, and currently weighing around 30 lbs. He’s full of curiosity and loves exploring the world around him, always bounding and leaping into the air with excitement — especially when there are toys, tennis balls, or new adventures involved. This sweet boy is gentle, loving, and full of puppy energy. He enjoys toys, treats, cozy dog beds, and spending time with his foster siblings, including his littermate Hudson and foster friend River. Nile is very social and thrives on interaction with other dogs, making him a great companion for a playful pup or a family that can give him attention and supervision during playtime. Nile is house and crate trained, walks well on leash, and is already learning basic commands like sit. He’s smart, motivated by treats, and responds well to positive guidance. Like most puppies, he is still learning what’s appropriate to chew, but with consistent training, he’s picking up good habits quickly. This affectionate boy has been around children aged 6 and up and would do well in a family that can give him love, attention, and gentle guidance as he grows. He’s adaptable and would do well in most home settings, making him a great choice for first-time pet owners or experienced families alike. Carolina P.A.W.S. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization comprised of a network of compassionate Carolinians, all of whom are volunteers. We are devoted to helping abandoned and abused cats and dogs throughout the greater Charlotte area find loving homes. CPAWS does not have a facility and relies entirely on volunteer foster parents to care for an animal until we are able to find a pet their forever home. Our founding members have been collectively involved in animal rescue for over 20 years.
Carolina P.A.W.S. volunteers can be found "in the trenches," rescuing animals at high risk- those starving on the streets, languishing in shelters, and suffering in abusive situations. Each animal has a different past but our promise to them all is the same…a second chance. We provide them with medical attention, rehabilitate them physically and emotionally, and care for them in foster homes until they can be placed in loving permanent homes.
Along the way, we prepare them to become wonderful companions by taking the time to socialize them and patiently teaching them to trust. We also spay/neuter each one, provide all inoculations, and ensure that they are in perfect health before being made available for adoption.
