My name is Clara!

Hi there, I'm Clara! I am a 10-month-old terrier mix. At just 34 lbs, I am a popular size and shouldn`t get much bigger.

I'm a friendly, affectionate girl. I am always wagging my tail when I meet a new person, including kids. I love being around people, but I'm also fine hanging out on my own when needed. I am currently either crated or left in an exercise pen when my foster humans are at work.

When I came to PAWS, I was underweight, but thanks to lots of care (and food!), I'm now a much healthier, happier girl. I like to play with other pups. I get along well with other dogs, though I prefer to eat in a crate or separate space -- except when it comes to my sister, who I somehow let steal all my food. I met a cat but got pretty excited when I saw them. I can do further testing if you are interested in me and own a cat.

I can walk on leash just fine and have gone on quite a few car rides, although I am working on jumping into the car on my own. I am probably a medium energy dog. I would love a walk every day and some playtime, but I am also happy to cuddle up on the couch. I am housetrained and will have an occasional accident (maybe only once every couple of weeks).
