Have you ever considered that your life doesn't have enough spice? That the level of pouncing on things in your house is just too low? Maybe your house isn't meeting its monthly purr and cuddle quotient and you need to fix that?
Have I got the kitten for you. Diego is a young domestic shorthair male kitten. He is super inquisitive, super active, and then super chill. He loves playing with people, other cats and even younger kids. Hes not sure about dogs yet, but he is very willing to puff up his tail and tell them that he is there, I think with some time he will learn to appreciate a dog friend as well.
Diego loves to play, he loves to sprint around the house playing chase with his foster cat family, then he wants to curl up and snooze for a while. Oh you want to pick him up and pet him and give him love? Please do, he loves all the people he has met, and a good cuddle and purr makes everyone's day a little better. One touch of his soft fur and you will be smitten.
Diego is litter box trained, excellent around other cats, tolerates a dog, and loves all people including children. Very athletic, very inquisitive, very food motivated.
Diego is 9 weeks old and 3 lbs. All cats have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. If you are interested in meeting this cat please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.

We only adopt out animals to homes within 60 miles of the Twin Cities. Our adoption process begins with the return of our pre-adoption form, available on our website. After reviewing your application a meeting is scheduled between you and the pup, sometimes in the fosters home or at a neutral dog friendly place. If any resident dogs are in your home, it is recommended that the pups meet at this time. After the meeting a home visit is scheduled and if everything goes well with the visit the adoption is finalized at that time. A home visit by one of Safe Hands representatives is REQUIRED prior to finalizing any adoption and we must meet all members of the household where the pup will be living sometime during the adoption process.

More about this rescue
Safe Hands is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to saving lives and finding forever homes for stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs in high kill shelters. Of great importance to us is to reduce the stray population and need for healthy animal euthanasia through spay/neuter programs, education, and promotion of respect for the furry creatures that share our lives.
We are a small, no-kill, volunteer run organization. All of our dogs listed are in foster homes waiting to be adopted and because of this, we get to know the dogs' personalities very well and use this information to match them to an appropriate home. We do not have a physical shelter.
This rescue is not funded by public funds nor does it receive many donations so it is dependent on adoption fees to keep operating. We have a great need for foster homes. If you are interested in providing foster care, and live within an hour of the Twin Cities, please e-mail us
Donations ALWAYS needed are: dog crates, puppy pee pads, natures miracle (for pet stain removal), Nutrisource brand puppy and dog food, Lysol disinfecting wipes, paper towels, large clean towels, dog toys, leashes, collars and gas cards to help with our transports.
