This helps Brooklyn Animal Action with pet care costs.
Hershey is a sweet female tabby who has been through quite a journey! She was rescued last year from the Coney Island Boardwalk, where she had been dumped. Found sitting calmly on a kind grandma’s lap, Hershey’s story began when rescuers were called to give her a second chance.
Since then, Hershey has been spayed, vaccinated, and lovingly cared for by a foster family. She’s a gentle soul who loves head rubs and soft pets. Hershey is a calm, sensitive girl who is independent but affectionate—she’ll rub against you or curl up nearby to show her love. Once she feels secure and comfortable with you, she likes to stay close to you and may surprise you by sitting on your chest or coming in for cuddles.
Like most cats, Hershey has her quirks that make her extra special! She has a soft, sweet personality and absolutely adores sitting in boxes, no matter how small they are. She enjoys gentle head rubs, cozy blankets and lounging by a sunny window watching the world go by. She also enjoys playing with string toys and will come running anytime she hears you open a Churu treat!
Because she can become overwhelmed in chaotic environments, we think she'd do best in a home without children or other animals. She would thrive with an experienced cat owner who understands feline behavior and can provide a calm, predictable routine to help her feel safe and loved.
Hershey is the perfect companion for someone looking for a calm, gentle, and quietly affectionate cat—one who may not demand attention but still fills your home with warmth and love. She is ready to blossom in a peaceful furrever home where she can finally feel safe, understood, and adored.
Hershey is about 6 years old and healthy. She is spayed, microchipped, tested FIV-/FeLV- and up to date on all vaccinations.

Thank you for considering a rescued angel! Every dime goes to save another homeless kitty on the street.
