My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Crouton is in a foster home, so he is not at the kennel. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.***

Crouton is as cute as his name and just makes you smile! He is estimated to be about 5 months old and weighs 25 pounds right now, but he is sure to get bigger!

Meet Crouton, such a sweet pup with the best ears! He went right into one of our wonderful foster homes where he is doing so well and feeling safe. His foster mom has so many wonderful things to say about him:

Crouton is absolutely incredible. He is so smart and has already mastered the basic commands and some fun tricks, such as spin, twirl and "bam" laying on his side. He isn't much of a jumper and has already learned that to get pets he must not jump, so he sits at your feet. He has only had a few accidents and will "go potty" on command. Crouton isn't the best at walking on the leash, he pancakes down and doesn't want to move, but once the weather is a bit warmer, I'll take him out for more leash work (I'm positive he will catch on quick). Crouton is getting acclimated with his crate, with a treat he does "go to bed". Crouton sleeps all night in his crate, on the rare occasion he needs to go potty he will bark, we let him out, put him back in his crate and goes back to sleep. Crouton is not mouthy and has caught onto only chewing his toys. We have him training with a clicker. He is very treat motivated and wants to please. Crouton does well with dogs and cats, as well as my two boys and our 4&6 year old niece and nephew. We currently use a slow feeder because he eats so fast, it's really helped slow him down and enjoy his meals.

Crouton can't wait to find a family that will love him forever and would really like it if you wanted to meet him.

If you are interested in Crouton and are at least 21 years old, please fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!

*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
