My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Simba. A gentle senior ready for a second chance

Simba is a 12-year-old senior gentleman who came to the shelter after his owner sadly passed away. Understandably, he’s been a little shy, sad, and lonely—but he’s more than ready to trade shelter life for the comfort of a loving home again.

This calm, chill guy is the perfect lounging buddy, happiest relaxing nearby and keeping you company. Simba also likes to talk, sharing his thoughts in soft little conversations that make him extra endearing. During his recent photo shoot, he even tolerated a nail trim like a true gentleman, showing just how easygoing he really is.

Simba is looking for a home where he can feel safe, cherished, and loved once more.

If you have room in your heart for a sweet senior who just wants companionship and comfort, Simba would love to meet you!

Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving with you. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet.
