Weight: approx. 40 pounds (as of 2/2/26)
This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.
Meet the lovable Lexie, a sweet senior with big eyes and an even bigger heart! This is a true golden girl—sweet, gentle and brave. She is ready for the fur-ever home she so deserves!
Her rescue story starts just months ago, when she was found in the back of a u-haul truck with other dogs in a state of neglect. The owner was charged with animal cruelty and the dogs were taken to a much safer place. She has happily left her past behind and is doing very well in foster care!
Looking to skip the puppy stage and jump to “well-behaved?” Don’t overlook miss Lexie—she might be the paw-fect new addition to your family! She’s crate and house trained. She walks well on the leash. She loves the adults and children in her foster home and is wonderful when meeting new dogs.
Adopting a senior dog like Lexie is not only incredibly kind and generous, but so rewarding! Lexie is sure to bring light, laughter and joy to your home. She will remind you to be strong, live in the present moment and love unconditionally. She’s ready to enjoy her golden years with a loving family and a soft, warm place to lay her head.
Will you open your heart and home to this darling girl? Let her know you’re interested by submitting an application today!
An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this.

**Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
