My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bobe first came to the shelter as a puppy and was quickly adopted into a loving home, where he spent the last year and a half growing up surrounded by love. Unfortunately, as Bobe grew bigger, his elderly caretaker could no longer safely manage his size. The decision to return him was heartbreaking, and its clear he was deeply loved.

Now, Bobe is hoping to find a family who will love him just as much, and Bobe is truly one of those dogs who fits almost anywhere.

He lived peacefully with five cats and a chihuahua, and hes wonderful with other dogs and gentle with young children, including toddlers. Hes house trained, well-mannered, and calm when left alone, making him an easy addition to many types of homes.

Bobe is a happy-go-lucky boy who loves people and enjoys being part of the family. He knows commands like sit, stay, and come, rides well in the car, and has great house manners - his previous family even shared that he almost never barked. He doesnt try to escape or jump fences, and while hes not much of a guard dog, he makes up for it by being incredibly loving and loyal.

He especially enjoys playtime and would thrive in a home with kids or a family who enjoys including their dog in daily activities. When he knows hes in trouble, he bows his head in the sweetest, most apologetic way.

His former family described him as such a loving, steady dog that he could even make a wonderful service or emotional support companion.

Bobe has already proven he knows how to be a beloved family member. Now he just needs another chance to show it. If youre looking for a loyal, gentle, family-ready dog, Bobe is waiting to meet you.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
