My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The first thing that is going to come to your mind when you first meet Stormi Sweetpea is how sweet and little she is! Not only is her personality irresistible, but she is adorable! Just look at those ears and her cute little face! Truly, there is so much to love about her.

Watch her video and fall in love with this sweet girl: https://youtu.be/j7eO2Qcp1V8?si=GGvPAX-pnnJvTX3B

Stormi Sweetpea is believed to be a Blue Heeler mix approximately 6 months old and currently weighs 20 lbs. Y'all, this girl it tiny!!! She barely even takes up an entire couch cushion and we do not see her getting a whole lot bigger if at all. Even for her age, she has such a calming energy about her too. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age.

One thing that we do know for certain is how sweet and innocent Stormi is. This little girl is so so so sweet it's almost impossible to not fall in love with her. From the second you meet her, you instantly can feel the sweetness radiating from her. Even her foster raves about how sweet she is. It's all she could talk about! Her foster also loves how incredibly great she is around her kids. Stormi is being fostered in a home with kids ranging in ages from 2-9 and has been nothing but fabulous with them. She has a wonderful energy about her and loves to snuggle. Stormi would make a great companion for a family with kids!

Stormi is currently in a loving foster home and loves to spend her mornings playing outside with the other dogs in the home and loves a good nap in the shade. She has a bit of a shy approach to new experiences and when she meets new dogs, but her sweet, gentle, curious nature is a constant. Stormi has a gentle play style, shares her toys beautifully with her foster siblings, and will melt your heart when she looks up at you with those eyes. You can see she is a trusting and loyal soul. Stormi is also sharing her foster home with a pup smaller than her and there are 3 cats in the home too. With them all, she has been nothing but sweet, even with the cats. She will play chase every now and then with the younger kitten in the home but it’s all fun and lighthearted.

She would love to go to a home with a backyard where she can stretch her legs, play with her toys, sunbathe during those nice Summer days, etc. rather than living in the heart of the city in an apartment. She is still young and even with her age, Stormi is already showing to have great house manners and her foster says that she has been so easy to have around! She is such a sweet girl!

We are willing to test Stormi Sweetpea with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about creating lasting matches between dog and family for long term success, and take the time to ensure each adoption is a fit through our matchmaking process.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
