This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I love my cat more than I can put into words, and this decision is coming from a place of deep love, not convenience. Due to personal circumstances, I need to move back home, and unfortunately my mom has severe allergies to cats, which makes it impossible for him to come with me.
He deserves a home where he can feel safe, settled, and truly loved, where someone has the time to be present with him, to give him the attention, affection, and stability he needs. As much as it breaks my heart to say this, I can’t give him that right now in the way he deserves.
Letting him go is not something I’m doing lightly. I’m going to miss him every single day. He has been such a source of comfort and love in my life, and saying goodbye feels devastating. My only hope is to find someone who will love him deeply, protect him, and give him a warm, safe home where he can thrive. He means the world to me, and I just want to know he’ll be okay
