Shhh no one tell Hans he's only 10 lbs! He may be a small dog but he has a big personality!

No one really knows what Hans is. Is he a German Shepherd? A Dachshund? A gerbil? We may never know...

We do know Hans loves to play with other dogs: small, large, and everything in between! After playing with his friends, he wants nothing more than to cuddle up under a big blanket!

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $160 to $185. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
